Donate to Mendelssohn Club

Mendelssohn Club takes pride and pleasure in producing large-scale and often cutting-edge programs.  As a chorus committed to performing a unique blend of the traditional and the contemporary at a professional level, we:

  • hire a first-rate, full orchestra
  • rent a performance venue appropriate for a large chorus and orchestra
  • hire top quality soloists
  • commission new works

This set of priorities is expensive.  Ticket sales cover less than a third of the costs.  Every year we count on contributions from foundations, corporations and loyal individuals who appreciate and support Mendelssohn Club’s artistic vision.

We invite you to join Mendelssohn Club Chorus and Maestro Harler in promoting provocative choral programming for the next century.  Established in 2008 in honor of Alan Harler’s first 20 years as Mendelssohn Club’s Music Director, the Alan Harler New Ventures Fund will assure the continuation of Maestro Harler’s landmark initiatives.  The Fund is an endowment to support adventurous programming, including major ground-breaking choral commissions and innovative collaborations.  Please join us in this mission so our audiences can continue to expect the unexpected.

From two long-time supporters:

"Thanks so much for another wonderful year of musical surprises. We both are very grateful for the richness and the challenges that Mendelssohn Club continues to bring to our ears. We are proud to continue our support of Mendelssohn Club in its exploration of choral works. Their potential to move and indeed elevate us and our spirits are always fulfilled.

"Thank you and always remember that the audiences always take home something beyond their expectations of 'entertainment'. They carry the vibrations and memories of events that have moved their hearts and their souls. This is the legacy of Mendelssohn Club for which we will be forever indebted."

From a supportive Board member:

"It is our pleasure to support Mendelssohn Club! We are honored to be involved with such a super organization with a leader like Alan Harler!"
