10.5.15_FINALMozart’s poignant and profound Mass in C Minor is among this great composer’s greatest works. A wedding gift to his new bride, Constanze, the piece captures the intensity of his devotion – proof, in its alternation of grandeur, lyricism, and  unabashed joy, that “we were made for each other.”

The program also includes the world premiere of Kile Smith’s Agnus Dei, commissioned by the Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia as a completion to the unfinished Mozart score, as well as joyous psalm settings by the ensemble’s namesake, Felix Mendelssohn.
