Byron De Leon is a Guatemalan-American conductor, baritone, and educator from New York City. He sings with the Marble Choir at Marble Collegiate Church and will join the Delaware Choral Scholars for the Tolosa Choral Competition in Spain in October 2025. He serves as Assistant Conductor, Voice Teacher, and Creative Musicianship Teacher with the Young People’s Chorus at Thurnauer School of Music (YPC@T)—a full-circle moment, having begun his musical journey with the Young People’s Chorus of New York City. De Leon earned his MM in Choral Conducting from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey–Brunswick, where he conducted various choirs and taught voice. He has participated in workshops such as the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival and Sarteano Choral Workshop. He holds a BM in Voice Performance with a minor in Linguistics from Ithaca College, where he served as Vocal Coach Coordinator and Student Conductor of the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers and made his conducting debut at the 2023 All-Eastern NAfME Conference.
