3. What do you hope singers and audiences will take away from this piece, and what elements of the work are you most excited for people to experience at the world premiere?

In this piece, the chorus sings several Jewish blessings of gratitude for the many great miracles in our past and our present. At a time of so much hardship, distress, and disorder in our country and in our world, I want this piece to be a reminder of the wonderful and beautiful things still happening all around us. As you listen to this piece and get enveloped in the sound of the chorus and the instruments, I invite you to take a moment to remind yourself of the miracles in your own life that bring you joy, even in the most challenging times.
