The Armory of the oldest military troop in the U.S. is the inspiration for a new work by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer David Lang, performed by Mendelssohn Club with site-specific choreography for chorus and dancers by Leah Stein.  This third collaboration between Leah Stein and Alan Harler involves more than 90 performers, intersecting voice, movement and history.

These performances are part of Hidden City, a festival that brings some of Philadelphia’s best unknown historical landmarks to life through original works of art. Read more about Battle Hymns
