A Feast of Carols

Illustrating the divine connection between music and spirituality, I created a paper stencil for this original design of an illuminated stained glass window and I rendered the vibrant window and angels with soft pastels on black sanded paper. The central rosette of the rose window, a symbol of the Virgin Mary and Christ, represents the perfection and unity of creation, while the angels evoke a celestial choir, reminding us of the human experience of spirit made manifest in art of the highest order.
