Countertenor Joe Galdi holds a B.M. in Voice Performance and a B.S. in Psychology from West Chester University. He spent a year in graduate school at the University of Notre Dame studying Sacred Music for Voice with Metropolitan Opera soprano Jeni Houser. In 2023 and 2024, he trained at the Baroque Opera Workshop at Queens College where he performed as the Sorceress in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas and Secrecy in Purcell's The Fairy Queen. Joe has performed several roles in collegiate operas, including the Old Lady and Candide in Bernstein’s Candide, Ruggiero in Handel’s Alcina. He has done various choral and solo work at churches across the Philadelphia area, most recently working as a section leader at Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge. Based in the Northeast, he continues to pursue operatic and choral engagements with a special interest in early and Baroque music.
