Octavia McBride-Ahebee is a poet whose work centers on the migration experiences of Africans and the African Diaspora. Drawing from her decade living in Côte d'Ivoire and 31 years as an educator both abroad and with the School District of Philadelphia, her community-focused poetry explores themes of belonging, cultural exchange, and human movement within the context of global inequality.
